Global Color & Consumer Decoration Journey Project Manager
The role and its responsibilities
This role is based at our Global Center in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, but it will be necessary for you to travel occasionally.
Your core task is to work with the Global Marketing Manager Color and Consumer Decoration Journey (CDJ) to identify, develop and drive color repeatable models across local markets. This encompasses color ranges, display, presentation and naming and collateral for the Consumer and Professional markets and support insight generation over the consumer decorating journey and implementation of such learnings.
In doing so you perform a number of detailed activities:
- Assets Tools: manage the development and cost-efficient deployment of all color tools;
- Assets Color Collaterals: manage the design and production of global color system support materials to give maximum business synergy;
Local implementation: lead market implementation of identified color strategy, including necessary audits, local team trainings, etc.
Further, you support the Global Marketing Manager Color and CDJ in (color) insight generation and strategy development. This requires you to work closely with the Paints & Coatings Color Solutions team, insights team, exterior design agencies and internal clusters, acting as a sparring partner for the implementation and delivery of brand and color strategies.
In addition you conduct ongoing analyses of color performance to propose ways of reducing complexity and optimizing the brand offer. When necessary you support local markets with relevant marketing initiatives in close collaboration with Regional Marketing and aligned with global project/program managers.
To apply for this position you must possess all the following attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and three to five years working experience in brand/trade marketing;
- Ideally you have expertise in ‘color marketing’ or an affinity with color topics;
- Strong communication and interpersonal/influencing skills;
- Fluent in English, with additional languages a plus;
Prepared to travel occasionally.
